Dubai Center is located in Imarat. The center has a huge number of shops there are shops which sell second hand clothes and household goods the Center also houses a medical clinic, an observation room, two libraries, a music room, an Arts & Crafts room, and a wood-working shop people visit this center from over the world and the number of tourists increase specially in social events .the shops open daily (Saturday-Thursday) from 09.00 am to 13.00 pm, from 20.00 pm to 16.00 pm in the evening and from 10.00 am to 13.00 pm on Friday.
While Bahrain mall which is situated in the heart of Bahrain hasn't got that much of shops that Dubai center has got there. Bahrain mall doesn't include any cinema, libraries neither a place for arts but It has uncountable number of shops that sell clothes. It has many courts that you can have fast food. It also has a big place where you can buy (fishes, chocolates, ice creams, vegetable ..Etc) it's called JEAN. The number of visitors in Bahrain mall is not as much as Dubai center, shops in Bahrain mall open at this time : (from 10 am to 10 pm).

It's also well known of it's high class security because of it's state of art technology, along with a well-trained security staff and there aren’t any sales tax on clothing. It opens from Saturday- Monday from 10pm to 9.32pm.
Bahrain mall (Géant)
The Bahrain Mall is the shopping hub for families and visitors from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar. It has many cafes and a fast food center next to the jungle adventure play ground for children. It's also famous of it's large and hyper (Géant) Market, where u can find Fresh fruits & vegetables, Fabulous French bakery products, Fashion wear, Electronics and many more. Géant, Bahrain’s first hypermarket covers an area of 150,000 square feet with 60 checkout counters .it is located in MANAMA and it opens 7 days a week from 10am to 10pm.
I think that Mall of America is very larger then Bahrain mall so u can find more facilities and activities there.
Mall of America has a large amusement park but Bahrain mall doesn't have any...
BAHRAIN MALL is opened 7 days a week for longer hours but MOA is only opened from Saturday- Monday.
I think that it's a very interesting subject to talk about, and I enjoyed comparing between to famous malls from two different countries!...and i also enjoyed doing this with the help of my crazy friends !:D

Comparing between West Edmonton Mall and Bahrain Mall:
West Edmonton Mall (WEM), located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It's the world's largest entertainment and shopping centre and Alberta's number one tourist attraction, featuring over 800 stores and services, over 100 eating establishments, plus nine world class attractions. It's the only mall of its kind - both a shopper's dream and a world of excitement and adventure.
(WEM) shops open daily On ( Monday to Saturday) from 10a.m to 9p.m , except on Sundays and social events. It's opens from 11a.m to 6p.m.
Beside that Bahrain mall, the ultimate family shopping experience in the heart of Bahrain’s retail district.
It's not a very big mall, but most of people from different countries (Gulf mostly), like; Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar, come to visit it and enjoy it's facilities, such as; the jungle adventure play ground for children, which's called "Ftoon World ", the cafes, some special shops and a large market ( Geant), where you can find fresh food and vegetables, sporting goods, cosmetics, Accessories, and house holding accessories.
Bahrain Mall's shops open daily from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm.
In my opinion, I think West Edmonton Mall is much better than our mall (Bahrain Mall)…WEM has got more places for entertainment and attraction, such as; Galaxyland , World Waterpark, Professor Wem's Adventure Golf, Putt 'n' Glow, Ice Palace, Sea Life Caverns and so on…which are not available here in Bahrain.
By the way:=D, I really enjoyed working here in E-Class with my amazing, CrazZzZy frndzZz . At least we've broken the boredom, Instead of staying in the class and watching the movement of teacher's mouth:D:D:P.

Bullring is a huge shop located in Birmingham City centre in Europe. It is easy to travel to . To assist you in getting to Bullring efficiently use the travel planner by entering your start destination in the 'from' field and select your mode of transport. The shop is open until late, from 8 AM until 10 PM, Monday to Friday and there are over 160 shops in the centre including Selfridges and Debenhams. After a stressful day at work, why not enjoy some retail therapy at Bullring, or meet up with friends for dinner. Bullring has brought over 26 football pitches worth of shops, boutiques and restaurants into the centre of town. It has reintroduced some of Birmingham’s traditional streets and is a stimulating, glass covered environment where you can shop, eat or just be. My Opinions:
I think that it's a nice subject to discuss and talk about to know the difference between malls inside Bahrain comparing with other malls outside Bahrain and then improve our mall and make a better place.
I really enjoyed writing this comment and searching on the net, specially posting it; so people will get valuable information about the two malls. I also enjoyed working in the E-class instead of staying in the class as usual, which is very boring and tiring.
Hope you loved this comparative although it is very long and maybe you will get bored.
Thank youuuuuu,,
See you soooon

Comparing between wang jing shopping centre and Bahrain mall……
Wang jing shopping centre: (china)
The building itself is a large warehouse, and its located in china, inside of which are three main sections. On the left you can find everything from shampoo to tea sets all sorted neatly into aisles. At the back is a large area of outdoor equipment, including everything from tents to woodwork tools. However, the main pull of this establishment is the huge variety of food and drinks available in the main section. Its open 7 days a week from 9am – 8.30pm the only problem is that it is difficult to reach except by private transport.
Bahrain mall: (Bahrain)
Bahrain mall is a small mall when you compare it with the other malls in Bahrain, and its one of the most popular shopping centre, but there are several good points such as being in the middle of Bahrain. So, everyone from everywhere can easily reach it, and its open 7days a week, shops are open from 10am-10pm,food court is open from10am- 12pm, and (Geant) is open from 10am – 12pm….also the ample parking facilities for up to 1600 cars, and its attracts an average of 480000 costumer per month, the food courts also offers 18 outlets and accommodates…Bahrain mall is better than wang jing shopping centre, cause in Bahrain mall you can find lots of cloths shops which is not available in wang jing shopping centre…. in my opinion I prefer Bahrain mall more than the other malls, even if there are negative things about it.
ATTENTION!!! Hehehe:D…before I forget…Working here in this class , around my frndzZz is more than fantastic ( Bombastic)..cuz personally I love this type of team work and team leading. I wish to work more and more again:D

Thanks girls for this beautiful work.. Your comments are very thorough and useful.. You've done a great job finding malls in different parts of the world and sharing your information with other students.. I'm happy that you enjoyed working on this task and that getting the opportunity to use the Net in learning was very motivating and you prefered it to the usual non-ICT class.. Well done all and thanks for the great effort.
Dear Sameera and class
Thanks for the trip around the world in shopping malls.
I am sad to admit that I have only been in one of the physically. The Bull Ring centre in Birmingham and I am old enough to say that I remember it before it was there,if that makes sese. After the Second world war this area was very damaged and it had a few little shops and an actual old fashioned market. If you go there now there is often a German christmas market at this time of year which is very interesting for British shoppers.
My husband tells me that your island is wonderful and he has been there many times I look forward to the day when I can see your shops for myself.
Sheila Vine,Paderborn, Germany
Dear girls,
Your comments are very wide-ranging and your English shows what a good teacher you have. Like Sheila, I have been to the Bullring.
Aram: where in China is wang jing?

Hello everyone. What an interesting blog discussion and what great entries and comments you have all made. I'm really impressed. Your English is great and I liked reading all this information on shopping malls.
It's strange the way shopping is so country specific, wouldn't you agree?
Can you believe I hardly ever go to malls or anywhere near a shop that is bigger than a few square metres? Here in the south of Italy shops are often tiny. The whole ritual of shopping is related to meeting up with people and the weather. In mild winters people stroll along the boulevards or "corso" as they call them here which are lined with shops. They meet, chat and have a coffee pick up a few things and keep on strolling. In Summer shops are closed from 1 pm to 6pm becuase of the heat but stay open till late - sometimes until midnight so people can carry on with their "passeggiata"!! Only in recent years has the concept of "indoor" shopping sprung up on the outskirts of towns but here where I live in Salerno they are not very pleasant or successful. Everyone prefers the stroll, the car-free and the local keepers.
I do my groecry shopping on my bicycle so that I can buy fresh produce from an outdoor market. It's great.
I live in the old part of town and my tiny alley comes out on one of the main pedestrian shopping paths called "Via Mercanti" which simply means, as I'm sure you can guess "The Merchants Road" so people have been trading round here for centuries and the Roman ruins in some shops tell you just how many centuries that is ;-)
Well done on your great blogging work. I look forward to reading more and keeping in touch with you all. Who knows maybe I'll be able to visit the Bahrain Mall one day or we might meet at the Bull Ring. The Via Mercanti would be more attractive but no one speaks English....
Valentina
Hi Sameera,
I was just browsing through in search of more info on Bahrain and bumped into your site.
I'm Nurina from Malaysia, I will have about 10 hrs stopver in Bahrain and plan to see the city.
I will arrive in the late afternoon at about 3.00pm. Would I have enough time to see some sites and do some window shopping in Manama?
Can you recommend a local traditional market, I would like to see some local handicrafts, clothes and also maybe a shopping mall that you can recommend.
I believe that the city is safe for a single female traveller in the evening?
Thank you
best regards,
Nurina
